DILETTANT vs. ISMUS [Dezember 2019 - Januar 2020]

Vom 01.12.19 bis 12.01.20 beteiligt sich die forschungsgruppe kunst an der internationalen Gruppenausstellung "GRENZEN" im Kunstverein Plauen (Vogtland).

Dualismus, Realismus, Nationalismus, Anglizismus.... Mit unserer Arbeit „DER DILETTANT“ möchten wir uns über die Schwere und Ernsthaftigkeit der unzähligen „ismen“ -Welten hinwegsetzten. Frei von Dogmen, eingefahrenen White Cube Konzepten und andersartigen Abgrenzungen. Bei uns im Norden heißt es: "Nicht Schnacken, Anpacken!" Und genau das treibt auch unseren Dilettanten an, loslegen und einfach mal machen. Egal ob nun gleich der Klassifizierungswahn um die Ecke lauert oder der akademische Kunstbetrieb extra formale Hürden für die Dilettantenabwehr im Ausstellungsbusiness eingebaut hat. Der Dilettantismus kann mit seinem Blick von außen den Horizont des eingefahrenen Kunstestablishment erweitern. Er kann unkonventionell und öffnend sein. So, wie jeder „ismus“ Menschengemacht ist und eine ganz bestimmte Realität abbildet, dilettiert unser Protagonist in seiner Weltanschauung. Er widmet sich mit Hingabe und Ernsthaftigkeit seiner Aufgabe, ist ganz im Hier und Jetzt und hat dabei seine eigene Interpretation eines „iss Mus“ gefunden.

Dualism, Realism, Nationalism, Anglicism... With our project "DILETTANT vs. ISMUS”, we want to ignore the severity and seriousness of the countless "isms” of the world. Free of dogmas, conventional “White Cube” concepts and different borders. We say in the North: “Don’t talk, do it!” And that’s what drives our Dilettantes, get cracking and just do it. Regardless of whether the madness of classifications lurks around the corner or if the academic art business has incorporated extra formal obstacles for the defence of dilettantes in the exhibition business. Dilettantism can expand the horizon of the conventional art establishment with its view from outside. It can be unconventional and opening. Just as every "ism" is man-made and depicts a very specific reality, so does our protagonist act in his own worldview. He devotes himself with dedication and seriousness to his task, is completely in the here and now and has thereby found his own interpretation of an "iss Mus".
